Screenshots are an output of POST /v1/scrape and require browser rendering. Combine them with text or branding when your application needs both the page content and its visual appearance.
Read the image from data.screenshot. The same scrape returns data.markdown and page metadata. Screenshot capture has no extra credit surcharge under the current rules.

Viewport or full page

By default, capture covers the viewport. Set screenshotParams.fullPage: true for the full page, or request screenshot@fullPage through a format array:
The full-page array format cannot be combined with an explicit fullPage: false. screenshotParams must accompany an enabled screenshot output. Custom viewport dimensions, element capture, and rectangle cropping are not supported by the current API.

Encoding and quality

JPEG is the default encoding, with quality 80. WebP also accepts a quality value. For PNG, omit quality entirely:
Use JPEG or WebP when controlling payload size matters. PNG is useful when you need lossless encoding. Supported values and numeric ranges are defined in the implemented API reference.

Inline image or public URL

With default delivery: "base64", the response contains a data URL such as data:image/webp;base64,.... Your application can use that value as an image source or decode the bytes for its own storage. With delivery: "url", the response contains a public image URL. URL delivery waits for the image to be stored. The URL has no signature expiry and remains usable while the image is stored; this is not a permanent retention guarantee. Anyone with a public image URL can view it. Choose your application’s own controlled storage for sensitive material. Inline delivery changes the response representation; it is not a zero-data-retention option.

Capture timing

Use waitFor when a public page needs time after navigation to show its content, and leave enough time in timeout for navigation and capture. A mobile profile or location preference may change what the page shows. See browser rendering for examples and restrictions.
